Jason Setchen is an experienced litigator that has developed an effective and efficient approach to resolving disputes through the mediation process. This approach allows Jason’s mediation clients to be informed and involved in every step of the mediation process.
Jason draws from his fifteen years of litigation experience and the countless mediations that he has attended as an attorney over the years while representing parties on both sides in major family and non-family civil disputes. As a result of this experience, Jason brings to mediation a better understanding of the alternative dispute resolution process and instills a higher confidence in the parties making sure that all of them are being heard and understood. This allows for better communication and a higher chance of success.
Jason is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator and he mediates the full spectrum of family disputes including, paternity, dissolution of marriage, child support, child custody, time-sharing, development of parenting plans, parental relocation, contempt issues, modification actions, and post judgment non-compliance matters.
Jason also routinely mediates non-family disputes involving an array of issues including, personal injury, construction disputes, contract disputes, business disputes, collections (open account) matters, HOA disputes, mortgage foreclosure, and a wide array of general liability and general litigation issues.
Jason’s experience as a mediator and litigation attorney has allowed him to develop a creative, flexible, and highly effective approach to problem solving during the mediation process. He prides himself on adapting and tailoring his mediation style to fitting the needs of the parties, their attorneys, and their unique legal matters.
